SAHM has commissioned its new Fermac RUV16 production line
The starting pistol has been fired: SAHM has commissioned its new Fermac RUV16 production line. From now on it will allow 8-colour fully automatic printing with ceramic screen printing inks and 6 UV inks. The total capital investment is about 1.6 million Euros.
“At the Höhr-Grenzhausen site we have invested in a new production line in order to be able to offer our customers the best facilities in the field of modern decoration technology and also to be able to react flexibly to new market requirements in the future,” explains Christoph Giloy, Head of Marketing at SAHM. The Fermac RUV16 can print with not only ceramic screen printing inks but also with UV inks.
With this, the company, whose environmental management system is certified to DIN ISO 14001, also takes into account ecological aspects since the UV ink system stands out as being particularly energy-efficient. After printing, the inks need only to be hardened and they no longer need to be fired. Another special feature: the production line has a built-in camera that automatically and independently recognises the side of the glass to which the decoration must be applied.
