SAHM at BRAU Beviale 2012

Distinctive Glass Design for an Unforgettable Beverage Experience

SAHM at BRAU Beviale 2012

Glass and decorative design concepts for perfect beer enjoyment – presented by SAHM at BRAU Beviale. In Hall 1, Booth 1-317, SAHM is showcasing a new and exclusive glass series for Budweiser Budvar. Another focus is on TasteDesign®. Because beer can only develop its unique taste in the right glass.

The Budweiser series Budvar consists of original and unique tumblers, goblets and tankards. The glassware designed by Rony Plesl is suggestive of the letter B or of two kegs placed side by side. The haptic experience was important to Budweiser because contact with the glass is also the first contact with the brand.

It is just as important to emphasize the individual and inimitable character of a beer. This is a challenge that SAHM takes up again and again in the concept TasteDesign®.

SAHM also debuts the new Adelholzener restaurant ware. In addition to glasses and tumblers, this line also includes a single bottle cooler as well as a conference cooler made of plastic.

SAHM has commissioned its new Fermac RUV16 production line

New production line opened at SAHM Investing in the future

SAHM has commissioned its new Fermac RUV16 production line

The starting pistol has been fired: SAHM has commissioned its new Fermac RUV16 production line. From now on it will allow 8-colour fully automatic printing with ceramic screen printing inks and 6 UV inks. The total capital investment is about 1.6 million Euros. “At the Höhr-Grenzhausen site we have invested in a new production line in order to be able to offer our customers the best facilities in the field of modern decoration technology and also to be able to react flexibly to new market requirements in the future,” explains Christoph Giloy, Head of Marketing at SAHM. The Fermac RUV16 can print with not only ceramic screen printing inks but also with UV inks.

With this, the company, whose environmental management system is certified to DIN ISO 14001, also takes into account ecological aspects since the UV ink system stands out as being particularly energy-efficient. After printing, the inks need only to be hardened and they no longer need to be fired. Another special feature: the production line has a built-in camera that automatically and independently recognises the side of the glass to which the decoration must be applied.

BRAU Beviale 2011: Glass design and promotional ideas

SAHM at the BRAU Beviale 2011

BRAU Beviale 2011: Glass design and promotional ideas

The wheat beer glasses Madison and Calgary, the Aspen range of glasses and promotional ideas with a focus on the Euro 2012 Championships – these are the core themes of SAHM at this year’s BRAU Beviale. Guests from industry are invited to discover for themselves the power of innovation of the brand glass manufacturer, at Stand 317 in Hall 1: Here, the company is presenting not only its current solutions for the brewery industry, but also projects from the spirits and alcohol-free beverages sectors.

With Madison, Sahm is presenting its multi-awarding-winning wheat beer glass at the Brau Beviale. Alongside the Good Design Award, Chicago 2010, it also won the red dot design award in 2011. It is particularly well suited for light and alcohol-free wheat beers – the current example is an alcohol-free Kapuziner beer. With the Calgary design, a second newly developed shape of wheat beer glass is also being presented. A further highlight is the Aspen range of glasses: Tumblers, goblets and beer glasses in a contemporary glass design, multi-acclaimed and superbly well suited for a successful brand presence in areas such as the trendy and bistro restaurant sector. The importance of the perfect interplay between beverage and glass is fittingly demonstrated by the world champion sommelier, Markus Del Monego. He provides an interesting insight into the world of TasteDesigns® at the exhibition stand.

In addition, innovative decorative solutions are also presented, including relief printing, rubbing, thermal and chalkboard colours, as well as promotional ideas across the exhibition theme of football. “Our glass innovations at this year’s women’s World Cup and the BVB Championships were hugely successful”; reflects SAHM Marketing Manager Christoph Giloy. At the BRAU Beviale, the company will be presenting interesting glass designs and accessory items for the Euro 2012 Championships in Poland and the Ukraine.

Solutions for the entire beverage industry

“We are constantly developing our brand competence and in recent months we have realised numerous projects in the spirits and alcohol-free beverages sector – for example for the brands Russian Standard, Martini, Sierra and Southern Comfort, as well as Selters, Gerolsteiner, Adelholzener and Christinen Brunnen” explains Giloy. The service spectrum encompasses glass and decorative concepts for application in upmarket restaurants, on-pack and promotions solutions, as well as equipment such as stainless steel articles and conference and single bottle coolers from plastic.
